Hobart

Tasmanian's capital city, Hobart (population 205,000) is a blend of heritage and lifestyle. Hobart is a maritime city linked to river and sea, a city of fine restaurants, cool-climate wines, bustling markets and festivals. Key attractions such as the port Arthur Historic Site, the Huon Valley, Bruny Island and Hastings Caves are within a short radius of Hobart making it a perfect base for your stay in Southern Tasmania.

Hobart is one hour flight from Melbourne and two hours from Sydney. The Spirit of Tasmania commences it's daily sea journey from Melbourne and arrives 10 hours later in Devonport in the north of the State.
